  • Dr.
    Stephanie K. Sullivan

    Stephanie is a native of Camden, SC, and attended Emory University and received her BS degree from the Honors College of the University of South Carolina. She received her MD from USC School of Medicine 1993. She did her pediatric training at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH. Prior to joining our practice, Dr. Sullivan served as a Clinical Staff Physician in the emergency department at Children’s Hospital.

    Skyler McCurley

    Skyler grew up in Dallas, Texas. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of North Carolina. He completed his pediatric internship and residency at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He joined our practice in 1999 and has been recognized with several awards for “Best Bedside Manner.” Dr. McCurley is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He competes in Ironman triathlons, runs ultra-marathons, and likes to spend time cooking and reading. He has four children who, he says, have taught him more about pediatrics than any book or hospital.

    Justin is a native of Madison, NC, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His medical degree was earned at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and he completed his pediatric residency at Vanderbilt Medical School in Nashville, TN. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

    Rachel spent her childhood in Richmond VA, where her father practiced as a general surgeon and inspired her to pursue a career in medicine. She received a BA in Literature at Yale University, then spent a year teaching preschool in Colorado before returning east for medical school at UVA. She completed her pediatric residency at the Children’s Medical Center at the Medical College of Georgia.

    Dr. Laura M. Brooks Laura is originally from Frederick, MD. She attended Haverford College for her undergraduate studies, followed by the University of Virginia, where she earned her medical degree. Dr. Brooks completed her pediatric residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. While in Durham, she was an Associate in Pediatrics at Duke Children’s Primary Care.

    Charles Q. Pace, MD Charles grew up on a family farm in southeastern Kentucky. He earned a BS degree in Mathematics from Georgetown College in 2002. After a brief stint as a math and science teacher, he decided to pursue a career in medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky in 2009, graduating with honors.

    Erica was born and raised in a small town outside New York City. She received her undergraduate degree at Cornell University and her medical degree at Hofstra-NSLIJ School of Medicine. She then went on to complete her pediatric residency at UVA and is excited to be working here in Lynchburg. She and her husband like to spend their free time outside hiking and exploring.
